SBI Foundation Visits Mulyavardhan 3.0 in Sangli District
Shantilal Muttha Foundation recently hosted Anwesha Saha, Assistant Manager, Integrated Learning Mission (ILM), SBI Foundation, for a two-day field visit to review the implementation of Mulyavardhan 3.0 in Sangli district, Maharashtra, with support from SBI Foundation.
The visit began with interactions with the SMF leadership and programme team, providing an overview of the programme’s objectives, progress, and implementation approach. This was followed by field visits to schools in Sangli district where Ms. Saha engaged with DIET officials, school leaders, teachers, and students.
Classroom observations and stakeholder interactions offered an opportunity to understand how Mulyavardhan 3.0 is being implemented at the school level. The visit also enabled meaningful dialogue on achievements, challenges, and opportunities for strengthening programme delivery.
The SMF team expressed its gratitude to SBI Foundation for its continued support and partnership in advancing quality, values-based education across Maharashtra.

The visit reaffirmed the importance of collaborative partnerships among schools, education officials, and development partners in fostering meaningful learning experiences for children.
Mulyavardhan Classroom Observations Across Maharashtra – August 2026
In August 2026, Shantilal Muttha Foundation (SMF) conducted classroom observations across all 36 districts and 407 blocks in Maharashtra, covering 8,470 schools, including 84% government and 16% aided schools. A total of 14,695 classrooms and 13,598 teachers were observed through this collaborative effort involving SMF’s Taluka Coordinators, District Programme Coordinators, Master Trainers, Kendra Pramukhs, DIET officials and education department officials.
These observations help understand how Mulyavardhan is being implemented in classrooms, support teachers, recognise exemplary practices and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Technology-enabled data collection and digital analysis further help generate timely insights and strengthen data-driven decision-making.
From January to August 2026, Mulyavardhan classroom observations reached 29,099 schools, covering 71,887 classrooms and 55,917 teachers; continuing SMF’s efforts to enable meaningful value education across Maharashtra.
Mulyavardhan Classroom Observations Across Maharashtra July 2026
In July 2026, Shantilal Muttha Foundation (SMF) conducted classroom observations across 36 districts and 388 blocks in Maharashtra, covering 8,892 schools, 83% government and 17% aided, and 15,723 classrooms. The observations involved 8,892 teachers and were conducted by Taluka Coordinators, District Programme Coordinators, Master Trainers, Kendra Pramukhs, DIET faculty and education officials.
These visits helped SMF understand classroom practices, student participation, teacher facilitation, and the integration of social, emotional and ethical learning in everyday classrooms, while also gathering feedback to strengthen implementation.
In 2026, classroom observations have so far covered 26,904 schools, 56,895 classrooms and 47,139 teachers, reflecting the scale of SMF’s ongoing efforts to strengthen Mulyavardhan implementation across Maharashtra.
May–June 2026 Residential Training Empowers Taluka Coordinators
During May and June 2026, nearly 400 Taluka Coordinators (TCs) from across Maharashtra participated in a six-day residential refresher training at the Wagholi Educational Rehabilitation Centre, Pune.
The training provided a valuable platform to learn, reflect and grow together. Through interactive sessions, classroom-based discussions, peer learning and the exchange of field experiences, the coordinators strengthened their understanding of effective programme implementation and classroom support. They also explored practical solutions to on-ground challenges and shared best practices from across the state.
With renewed confidence, fresh ideas and strong implementation skills, the Taluka Coordinators are now better equipped to mentor teachers, support schools and ensure that Mulyavardhan 3.0 reaches every classroom with greater quality and impact across Maharashtra.
Building Strong Administrative Partnerships for Mulyavardhan 3.0
Following the State-Level Review Meeting held on 8 June 2026 under the guidance of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis, the implementation of Mulyavardhan 3.0 has gained strong momentum across Maharashtra.
Master Trainers (MTs), District Programme Coordinators (DPCs) and Taluka Coordinators (TCs) from Shantilal Muttha Foundation have been meeting District Collectors, Chief Executive Officers of Zilla Parishads, Education Officers, DIET Principals, Block Education Officers and other education leaders across the state.
The discussions focused on strengthening district and taluka-level coordination, ensuring regular Mulyavardhan periods in school timetables, integrating the programme into education review meetings, planning teacher support and capacity building, and establishing a strong framework for continuous implementation and monitoring.
Several district administrations have also extended their full support to the initiative, reinforcing a shared commitment to building responsible, caring and value-driven citizens through quality education.
These collaborative efforts are laying a stronger foundation for delivering meaningful, value-based education to every child across Maharashtra.
Mulyavardhan Gains Momentum Following State Review
The Mulyavardhan programme in Maharashtra has gained significant momentum following a high-level review meeting led by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis on 8 June 2026.
The meeting was attended by School Education Minister Shri Dadaji Bhuse, Minister of State Dr Pankaj Bhoyar, and senior officials from the Chief Minister’s Office and the School Education Department.
Representatives from SCERT, the Commissioner of Education’s office, Shantilal Muttha Foundation, and donors were also present.
The meeting included a detailed presentation on the programme’s design, implementation, and outcomes by Shri Shantilal Muttha. He highlighted that Mulyavardhan goes beyond value education and contributes to school transformation through changes in pedagogical practices.
Joining via video conferencing, education officers and DIET representatives from across Maharashtra shared first-hand experiences of Mulyavardhan’s impact on students’ attitudes, behaviour, and personal development.
Recognising Mulyavardhan’s contribution to holistic student development, the Hon’ble Chief Minister announced that the programme’s direct approach will be carried forward by the state in alignment with the National Curriculum Framework (NCF 2023). This includes time allocation for structured activities and the use of specially developed learning resources.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister directed all departments to take necessary steps to strengthen and embed Mulyavardhan across the state’s schooling system.
