Statewide Study on Mulyavardhan 3.0 in Maharashtra

SMF has launched the first phase of a statewide study on Mulyavardhan 3.0 in Maharashtra from 19 January 2025, with approval from SCERT, Pune. The study aims to understand how Mulyavardhan 3.0 is being implemented in classrooms, what students are learning, and how education officials are supporting the programme on the ground. Using a rigorous random-sampling approach, trained SMF teams will interact with over 3,000 students, 500 teachers, 500 parents and 100 officials across all 35 districts of Maharashtra. This initiative marks a significant step towards strengthening implementation and building a robust, long-term impact assessment of Mulyavardhan 3.0.

SMF Launches SESQ 2.0 to Strengthen School Quality

SMF launched SMF SESQ 2.0 in Bhopal on 4 January 2026 by Dr. Abhay Firodia (Chairman – Force Motors), marking the next phase of its long-standing partnership with Vidya Bharati Manak Parishad. Since 2015, SESQ has enabled structured quality assessment and accreditation across 1,612 Vidya Bharati schools through trained assessors and a technology-enabled system. Aligned with NEP 2020 and NCF 2023, SESQ 2.0 will support schools through a comprehensive framework covering academics, governance, leadership, and institutional processes. Going forward, Vidya Bharati schools will engage in self-reflection, expert evaluation, and continuous improvement planning, ensuring school quality grows in a sustained and measurable way across the country.

Nearly 2 Lakh Teachers Trained for Mulyavardhan 3.0 in Maharashtra

Maharashtra is moving one step closer to nurturing value-based education, with 1,93,370 teachers across 34 districts completing the Mulyavardhan 3.0 training. Implementation has already begun in 80,433 schools, and from the first week of December, all Marathi-medium schools will officially begin Mulyavardhan. This historic initiative, backed by the Government of Maharashtra and Shantilal Muttha Foundation, aims to bring value education to every child from Classes 1 to 8 in all government and aided schools.

Meeting with education officials at Silvassa

The SMF team held a meeting with Block and Cluster Resource Coordinators (BRCs, CRCs, and CRPs) from Khanvel and Silvassa in the union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu (DNH & DD) on 11 November 2025 at Government High School, Masat, Silvassa. The discussion focused on field experiences of Mulyavardhan 3.0 implementation, challenges faced by coordinators, and areas where SMF can strengthen on-ground support. Strategies to improve classroom observations and build stronger teacher–mentor relationships were also jointly explored.

Top-level meeting in Daman

On 11 November 2025, the SMF team led by Executive Director Shri. V. Venkataramana met Shri. Jatin Goyal, Director of Education, DNH & DD) and senior officials at Lekha Bhavan, Daman, to plan the next phase of Mulyavardhan 3.0. Key discussion points included the extension of Mulyavardhan to Grades 6-8, making cluster meetings more meaningful, and preparing the implementation roadmap for the coming academic years. The department confirmed that Mulyavardhan 3.0 will continue across DNH & DD for the next 2-3 years, reinforcing its commitment to value-based education.

First phase of district-level training completed

A block/cluster level teacher’s training programme for Mulyavardhan 3.0 organised by Maharashtra State Council for Educational Research and Training (SCERT) and SMF was completed across Maharashtra’s 17 districts. Nearly 70,602 teachers are trained till 13 October 2025.
