Mulyavardhan (MV) is a values-based programme transforming the school ethos, leadership, governance and teaching-learning processes leading to the improvement in the overall quality of schooling.
Initiated in 2009, large-scale implementation of MV is in progress across 2 states, Goa and Maharashtra, with Gujarat and Jharkhand starting implementation in 2020.
The Whole School Transformation Programme (WSTP) is a systematic and scientific approach to developing a set of values and goals for attaining quality education that will help to achieve the vision of transformation in students, teachers, leaders, and the community. This approach to change seeks to be adequate to address continual progress. Under WSTP, the SMF team works collaboratively with the School heads and proactive school teachers, school in-charges, supervisors, and members of the SMC
The ability to read, write and comprehend and to perform basic operations with numbers, is a necessary skill for all school & lifelong learning. If these are not developed in early years, children will not able to catch up in later grades and tend to maintain flat learning curves for years. So for many capable children, this has become a major reason for not attending schools or dropping out from schools.
Enhancing Civic Engagement (ECE) is an educational program championed by the Government of Goa (GoG) to nurture democratic citizenship among school students.
It has been developed by the Shantilal Muttha Foundation (SMF) in coordination with the Directorate of Education, State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT); the Goa Education Development Corporation (GEDC), and numerous expert-groups designated by the GoG.
